Management Team

InfoMagic Pte Ltd is owned by the following directors:

Julian Wong, Meng Khiong (Malaysian with PR status in Singapore)

Doris Chee, Beng Ching (Singaporean)

Chua Welic (Singaporean)

Key management players in InfoMagic Systems Pte Ltd are no strangers to both the computer as well as the photo chains business.

Julian Wong started with Hewlett-Packed Sales Pte Ltd as the sales representative responsible for personal computation and calculator products. This gave him the opportunity to service and address the photo and electronics retail outlets in and around town. As HP "discovered" marketing in the mid-80's, Julian was promoted to handle the PC division for ASEAN and built up a credible following of resellers in the region. He single-handedly set up the Malaysian chain of computer resellers that until today are loyal HP resellers. Under his purview are distributors in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei and the Philippines. In an effort to more fully understand the PC business, Julian moved on to Lotus Development Corporation. This gave him a thorough understanding of the intricacies involved in localization of software products in the Asia marketplace. Here he spearheaded the development efforts for Lotus 1-2-3 for Taiwan, Korea and PRC. These regions require localized double-byte character sets. It also gave him the opportunity to understand these markets, the channel infrastructure and the special requirements of these individually unique countries. With the merger of Lotus Development into the IBM fold, Julian left Lotus and started Test Labs (Asia) Pte Ltd, a benchmarking and consultancy firm catered to the special need of companies requiring real-world unbiased testing and benchmarking. His clientele include companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Canon, Epson, Psion, Creative Technology and Exabyte Corporation.

Doris Chee has worked in local companies specialising in the marketing and distribution of products and services in ASEAN. She has held various managerial positions in homegrown companies such as Votra (in the printing and digital imaging arena), Diversitec Distributors and Engineering Computer Services (ECS). She will be responsible for setting the network of D&P outlets in Singapore and the ASEAN region.

Chua Welic worked in many MNC's such as Xerox and ALR as well as local design and manufacturing companies. He possesses extensive experience in embedded software. As the project manager with Imagique Computer Design Pte Ltd, he designed the MagicWriter PDA for IPC as well as the Siemens WinCE machine. In his last portfolio as the R&D director with Nixvue Systems Pte Ltd, he led a team to develop hardware and software solutions for a whole range of portable storage devices for the digital camera market. This includes the Digital Album, the Vista and the Vizor, a CDROM-based unit for storing data from flash memory cards. Commissioned by Nikon Japan, Welic's team developed the software for the Nikon CoolWalker, a portable hard disk-based handheld unit specially for the high-end digital camera market.
